Brand Identity
Collaborating with four other peers, we responded to a university brief centered on creating a visual identity for a London street. The brief entailed producing five deliverables: a typeface, street sign, poster, map and video.
This project entails creating a brand identity for the renowned London street, Electric Avenue. Using stickers, we highlighted the contrast in opinions about the area. Circular stickers represent the perspective of the Brixton community, while straight-shaped stickers symbolise viewpoints from outside the community, emphasising the street’s contrasting identity. Drawing inspiration from the street’s shape and metal road sign, we crafted the typeface design and our own road sign covered in the stickers.
The colour scheme reflects the vibrant culture and lively atmosphere of the street. Motion graphic posters further convey the street’s identity. Additionally, our new paper provides information about safe areas and potential risks, illustrated on a custom-designed map.
